Randy Meyer, Principal Consultant
Randy has been in the transportation industry for the past 40 years of which 35 were with Canadian National Railway (CN).
Randy started his career in CN Rail Operations in Toronto and moved to CN headquarters in Montreal where he spent 12 years holding increasingly responsible positions in CN's Information Systems and Marketing Systems departments. He led a diversified team of programmers designing and coding very sophisticated transportation related computer systems.
From there, he moved to Calgary and spent 17 years in increasingly responsible positions in Service Management, Market Management, Account Management and Director of Sales in various business sectors including petroleum and chemicals, coal, fertilizers, metals, sulphur and other industrial products.
As Senior Manager of Business Development; Randy developed CN’s PipelineOnRail (crude-by-rail) initiative and headed up CN's long-term business development strategy primarily relating to the petroleum industry in Western Canada.
Randy joined Altex Energy in December of 2012 as the VP Corporate Development & Logistics. He had responsibility for sales and marketing, the development of new crude oil rail loading and unloading terminals in Canada and the US and the logistics systems and technology to manage them.
He is the co-inventor of Altex Canadian patent 2829003. In September 2014, he was recognized as one of the five Faces of the Oil Sands by the magazine Oil Sands Review.
Randy became the Principal Consultant for Third Rail Group in July 2017 and is continually building the consulting team for Third Rail Group.

Tony is the Principal of FrontLine Energy Consulting, a firm providing expertise in project development and stakeholder engagement to the energy industry. He has over 25 years of experience in the development and acquisition of major energy infrastructure projects.
Prior to founding FrontLine, Tony held executive positions with Inter Pipeline Ltd. and Maxim Power Corp., where he was responsible for project development and M&A activities while providing leadership to the areas of corporate planning, stakeholder engagement, government relations and regulatory affairs.
